This on-line continuing education course will examine the core concepts of medication management for adults in physical and psychosocial rehabilitation settings. The course explores the ideas of medication management, adherence, and basic medication/pharmacy terminology. Next, the course reviews best evidence informing the development of best practice assessment and intervention methods. Course content is designed to be applicable to practitioners working across the continuum of care from the intensive care unit to home health. Several case studies will be examined to practice implementation of core concepts. In addition, the course explores the ADL of medication management as an intervention in the primary care emerging practice area.
