Abstract
The current public health emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic has compelled occupational therapy practitioners to deliver services using unconventional means. The use of virtual technologies has become a key service delivery model in many settings. This model has allowed occupational therapy practitioners to deliver critical services while maintaining therapeutic use of self and collaborating with other practitioners in an ethical manner compliant with American Occupational Therapy Association standards. Practitioners must have a clear understanding of types of virtual visits, documentation, supporting evidence, ethical implications, and state/federal regulations that affect this service delivery model.
