DESCRIPTION
Earners of the Fall Prevention badge have successfully demonstrated an understanding that supports evidence-based fall prevention practice among occupational therapy practitioners (OT and OTA). Earners of this badge are skilled at using fall risk assessment strategies and fall prevention interventions for community-dwelling older adults in outpatient settings (including primary care) and home settings. Earners are also well versed in the CDC’s Stopping Accidents, Deaths & Injuries (STEADI) Toolkit and the role of self-management in fall prevention.
Earners of this badge have completed 7 contact hours, 8.75 PDUs or .7 CEUs based on course work outlined below
