What is a micro credential? 
A micro credential is issued upon completion of a set of required thematically connected courses. The micro credential provides acknowledgement of the growing knowledge of the practitioner and can either be completed as a step to the professional certificate as stated above or completed for its own merits without advancement to a certificate—it is considered a stand-alone designation.

Required Courses are:

• Working with Families K-12·         
• Occupational Therapy’s Role in Trauma-Informed Schools
• Social Emotional Learning and Well-being: Elementary School
• Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Wellbeing in Middle School   
• Social Emotional Learning & Well-being: High School & Transition to Adulthood
• Social Emotional Learning & Well-being: Specialized Instructional Support Personnel
• Interprofessional Practices for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Behavioral Health Teams

If you have not taken any of these courses yet, you may want to save time and select the bundle from the AOTA store.  However, do not chose the bundle if you have taken courses as you will have duplicates.
