Product Overview

Acute and chronic edema can have a significant effect on a patient's quality of life (Greene, 2016). Additionally, edema can lead to decreased independence and participation in activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental ADLs, rest and sleep, work, leisure activities, and social participation. OTs can plan occupation-based interventions that address the patient's chronic edema-related limitations during inpatient hospitalization.
