Using the social model of health, this short course will explore evaluation techniques and interventions to address sensory processing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Participants will gain practical knowledge of evaluation techniques and specific intervention strategies, including assistive technology, adaptive equipment, individualized sensory diets and home programs, environmental modifications, and education to address sensory processing needs of adults with IDD and enhance engagement in occupations.
