Series Description:

This 3-module series covers the basics of becoming a clinical fieldwork educator and also includes information on the roles and responsibilities of the clinical site coordinator and academic fieldwork coordinator positions. This series is intended for those interested in learning or enhancing fieldwork educator skills or starting a fieldwork program at their facility.  A digital badge is available to participants who successfully complete the series as a means of sharing knowledge competencies with others. 

Description:

This module reviews the progression of the fieldwork educator in their role. Discussed in detail are the roles and responsibilities of the clinical site coordinator and the academic fieldwork coordinator. This module also covers how to maintain balance with the role of FW educator to ensure a satisfying and effective career trajectory.  

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

1) Identify the various roles into which fieldwork educators can advance.

2) Describe the key skills and responsibilities of the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and

 Fieldwork Site Coordinator

3) Create a professional development plan that will assist in targeting continued learning in the area of fieldwork education
