Course Description
Lymphedema Basics introduces the learner to lymphedema, and includes an overview of the lymphatic system and the differences between edema and lymphedema. The authors provide a primer on treatment interventions for lymphedema and additional resources for learning more about interventions. Lymphedema’s impact on ADL, IADL, and other areas of occupation are explored. Finally, occupational therapy’s role in managing some of the effects of lymphedema are addressed.
