Description:
This course provides a translation of the assessment and intervention evidence contained within the Occupational Therapy Practice Guidelines for Adults Living with Serious Mental Illness to mental health practice. Using a case study format, the presenter provides a journey through the occupational therapy process including the initial evaluation, using the occupational profile, the analysis of occupation, goal setting, intervention and finally termination of treatment.
The course also contains information on the systematic review that grounds the selected interventions and provides a discussion of the current state of coding and billing for mental health services.
