Description:
This comprehensive exam review course has been created to help therapists planning to sit for the AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation exam with test preparations.
The review course is divided into 6 modules, each dedicated to a specific component of practice in a physical disabilities setting. Each module has 6 non-narrated lessons with interactive knowledge checks and other elements to support learning. Resources for additional study are also provided as appropriate.
Modules have a pre-and post-exam on the topic being covered. It is suggested that you take the pre-test prior to content review to gauge your current knowledge and again at the end of your studies to determine the change in your knowledge base. You can also use the pretest feature to help prioritize your content review based on your test grade.
This is a self-paced and self-directed program- you can access and review as few or as many of the modules and resources as you like. To receive continuing education credit, you must take and pass the post tests. Each posttest that is passed will supply a certificate for .4 AOTA CEUs (4 contact hours). You can complete as many of the 6 tests as you like and earn up to 24 contact hours (2.4 CEUs).
A discussion board is provided within each course module. The intent of the discussion board is for participants to reach out to others who are also reviewing and planning to sit for the exam. Participants can aid each other through topic discussion, answering questions, recommending resources and of course, supplying moral support.

Important Additional Information:
The exam is slated for release in December 2022 (subject to change), so the time is approaching to create your study strategy and begin devoting a bit of time each day to reviewing and learning. There is not one best way to study, everyone will need to decide what methods work best for them. It is recommended that you find a resource describing certification exam study tips such as, Expert Study Tips for Passing Certification Exams or search the internet to find a resource that resonates with you.
There are several eligibility criteria that you must meet prior to registering to take the certification exam. You must:
· Be certified or licensed by and in good standing with an AOTA-recognized credentialing or regulatory body
· Have a minimum of three years as an occupational therapist
· Have a minimum of 3,000 hours of experience in the certification area within the last 5 years
· Have a minimum of 500 hours of experience delivering occupational therapy services to clients in the certification area within the last 5 years
