Description
The learning environment influences students’ ability to perform and participate in their occupations. Occupational therapy practitioners working in school settings need to understand supporting and barriers impacting student performance within this environment. This course will discuss learning contexts, evaluation and intervention of students using a variety of resources from the AOTA including the OTPF (AOTA, 2020).

Learning Objectives
Following this course, the learner will be able to
- Explain how the environment, curriculum, instruction, and services impact the student’s role in education.
- Describe an occupational therapy evaluation of a student’s participation, health, well-being, and quality of life through engagement in school occupations.
- Compare at least three models for embedding services within the student’s daily routine.
