Product Overview

Program Description

OT practitioners (OTPs) are already recognized experts in pediatric attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Sixty percent of individuals diagnosed in childhood will qualify for the diagnosis as adults, and they often continue to need support. However, that support is often not available. Learn how OTPs can help adults with ADHD thrive through providing a strengths-based approach to executive function skills training, environmental modifications, and lifestyle changes.

Learning objectives

  • At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to describe the underlying neurological differences common to ADHD and their impact on cognition, sensory processing, emotional health, social participation, and daily function in the context of adulthood.
  • At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to define the benefits of a strengths-based approach to care and apply this lens to their understanding of interventions, including executive function skills training, environmental modifications, and lifestyle management.
