Addressing Infant–Toddler Mental Health in the Early Intervention Setting: A Rural Health Care Crisis
There are large health disparities for families who live in rural areas, leaving those children at risk for developmental delays and poorer outcomes. OTs who serve families in rural communities are especially suited to address the mental health concerns, including self-regulation, social behaviors, and caregiver attachment. This presentation will provide strategies to facilitate and support positive social, emotional, and behavioral health among infants, toddlers, and their families.
