Nutrition, Spirituality and Sexuality for Productive Aging, is based on the award-winning Lifestyle Redesign® program. This final unit of the six course series offers practical guidance for ensuring occupational participation of independent-living older adults.
Although not required, it is strongly recommended that participants have a copy of Lifestyle Redesign®: The Intervention Tested in the USC Well Elderly Studies, 2nd Edition available when viewing this course.
Description:
This course explores the relationship between healthy eating, occupation, and well-being during older adulthood. Practitioners will gain new strategies for planning treatment sessions around nutrition education and meal preparation. In addition, practitioners will learn about interpersonal relationships and spirituality and their connection to occupation, culture, and healthy aging. Finally, practitioners will discover the biological, social, pharmacological, and lifestyle factors that affect sexuality during older adulthood.
