Overview:
The iPad continues evolve along with new adaptations and accessories to promote independence and maximum productivity for individuals with disabilities. This webinar will discuss and demonstrate over 50 new adaptations, accessories, and resources for finding, selecting, and evaluating new apps.

Learning Objectives:
1. List and describe three iPad adaptations to accommodate someone with a physical, sensory, or cognitive impairment.
2. List four accessories that can be used to accommodate someone who experiences a visual, physical, hearing, or communication impairment.
3. Identify two main resources to use when making decisions on appropriate apps for specific functional limitations when performing educational, work, or community living tasks.

Speaker Bio:
Dr. Therese Willkomm is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and the Director of New Hampshire’s State Assistive Technology Program with the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire. She holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Technology from the University of Pittsburgh and has over 25 years experience in providing/managing assistive technology services. She is known nationally and internationally as “The McGyver of Assistive Technology” and also the “App Guru.” Dr. Willkomm has presented in 38 states, five foreign counties, and three U.S. Territories and authored 22 publications including her most recent book titled “Make A Difference Today - Assistive Technology Solutions in Minutes.”
