Earners of the Fieldwork Educator Certificate badge have participated in the face to face continuing education course "AOTA Fieldwork Educator Certificate Workshop" and possess knowledge, supervision skills, and the ability to role model behaviors that are critical to the success of OT and OTA students and to the future of occupational therapy. This badge signifies advanced skills in this area including a deeper understanding of the fieldwork educator role, and knowledge of strategies to integrate learning theories and supervision models to provide high-quality educational opportunities during fieldwork experiences.
15 total contact hours or 1.5 CEUs required for badge which are earned only through participation in the AOTA Fieldwork Educator Certificate Workshop.
