This course is based on Chapter 6 of AOTA’s best-selling publication, Best Practices for Occupational Therapy in Schools. The course will expand your knowledge and increase your skills related to best practices to promote leadership in your school practice. By reading the chapter and completing the CE activity, you will learn how to address barriers that limit implementation of best practices for occupational therapy in school settings.

To successfully complete this CE activity, you will submit your plan to course instructor, Jean Polichino, for personalized feedback and suggestions.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will:
1. Identify a personally relevant issue in school practice creating a barrier to best practices.
2. Select a leadership activity (from a list of activities provided in the chapter) that would influence the personally relevant issue toward best practices.
3. Develop and submit a leadership plan (feedback provided by the course author on the submitted plan).
