How secure is AOTA's Store?

AOTA uses the latest technology to protect your credit card information and does not release it to any outside organization. You can place your orders using SSL encryption (the Internet standard for secure transactions).

As reported in a recent Knight-Ridder News Service article (which appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer), "In 1997, there were no reports of credit-card information stolen on the World Wide Web during a transfer of information over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) line, the kind of line used by Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer. There were no slip-ups. None."

Your order information and purchase history are protected by a password that you set. If you forget your password, we will first verify your identity and then email your password to the email address you have listed in your AOTA Online Store account.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit Cards

The AOTA online store accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for payment of orders.

Purchase Orders

Purchase orders are not accepted online, however customers can order products using a Purchase Order. All Purchase Orders must be for $40 or more in order to be billed on a net 30 basis, provided customer’s credit is in "good standing". Orders under $40 require payment.

Will I have to pay sales tax?

Tax is charged to residents of the following states:
Arizona (7.3%)
California (8.75%)
Connecticut (6%)
Georgia (7%)
Maryland (6%)
Massachusetts (6.25%)
Minnesota (6.875%)
New Jersey (7%)
Rhode Island (7%)
Texas (8.25%)

There is no tax charged to residents of the state of Maryland on Continuing Education products ONLY.

What are the shipping and handling charges?

AOTA determines shipping based on weight. Please call 877-404-2682 for exact shipping rates.

What shipping methods are available?

The products ordered online are shipped from our warehouse in Duluth, GA.

Products are shipped via UPS.

Sorry, we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

What are the technical requirements for AOTA’s CE courses?

What You Need To Participate:

  • Access to the World Wide Web
  • A valid e-mail address
  • Windows XP or higher
  • MAC OSX 10.4 (Tiger) or higher
  • If using Linux, use Firefox as your internet browser
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Preferred - Internet Explorer 7 or higher
  • Firefox 2.0 or higher
  • Apple's Safari browser is not supported by the exam software, though you can use Safari for the basic course material. Mac users should download and use Firefox to ensure access to the exam mechanism
  • AOL's browser is not supported
  • In addition, a printer is suggested for printing the course material, if desired
  • CD player as needed
How will I be getting my CE certificate?

Immediately upon successful completion of the examination, you will be able to print your electronic CE certificate. If you need a certificate by mail, please see the course content for details.

Can I retake my exam if I do not successfully pass it the first time?

If you are not successful in passing the exam, you may opt to retake it a second time for a processing fee of $12.00. To retake the exam, call 877-404-AOTA.

How quickly will I receive my order?

Online orders are received and processed on the next business day. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays will be processed on the next business day.

U.S. customers will then receive orders within 2 weeks, Canadian Customers 2 weeks, and other countries 3 weeks.

What is your return policy?

BOOK RETURN POLICY

Returns accepted within 30 days of invoice date for a full refund on purchase price less S&H. Returns received between 30 & 90 days are subject to a 10% restocking fee, unless due to damage, defect or incorrect shipment. Items must be returned in saleable condition.

CONTINUING EDUCATION RETURN POLICY

Please review your selected CEonCD course description and learning objectives carefully before you place your order. All product returns, except those due to damage or defect, must be in resalable condition with no seals open, broken, or tampered with, and will incur an administrative fee of 10% of the product price regardless of the return date. Product returns due to damage, defect, or incorrect shipping, will not incur an administrative fee. No refunds are issued after 90 days. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Defective CDs will be replaced with a new copy. To receive a replacement copy, an email must be sent to cedept@aota.org to determine that it is not an accessibility issue. If determined to be defective, then mail the CEonCD in its original envelope, marked “Return,” and address it to AOTA Receiving 3280 Summit Ridge Parkway, Duluth, GA 20096.
