Individuals
Book Return Policy
Returns accepted within 30 days of invoice date for a full refund on purchase price less shipping and handling. Returns received between 30 and 90 days are subject to a 10% restocking fee, unless being returned due to damage, defect, or incorrect shipment. Returns will not be accepted after 90 days. Items must be returned in saleable condition. This policy does not apply to bookstores, Exam Prep, digital publications, or Continuing Education’s Self-Paced Clinical Courses.
Please include original packing slip in return package.
Exam Prep and Digital Publications Return Policy
Subscriptions to Exam Prep may be cancelled within 14 days as long as the subscriber has not accessed the Exam Prep system. Email customerservice@aota.org to request a refund.
For digital publications, returns are not accepted. If you believe your circumstances warrant a return, email customerservice@aota.org to request a refund.
Continuing Education Return Policy
Please review your selected CE (CEonCD, Self-Paced Clinical Course, Online Course, CE Article, Webcast) product description and learning objectives before you place your order.
- Online Course, CE Article, and Webcast Return Policy
Cancellations or refunds are not available after 1 week or once the content is accessed through AOTA Learn. If you made your purchase less than a week ago and have not accessed the course, please email customerservice@aota.org to request a cancellation and refund. Courses can be exchanged for a course of equal or lesser value for up to 30 days if original course has not been accessed.
- SPCC and CEonCD Return Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product within 14 days. A restocking fee of 10% of the product price will be charged unless the return is due to a damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped product. All items except damaged or defective products must be returned in saleable condition with no seals open, broken, or tampered with. Defective CDs will be replaced with a new copy or the online version of the course. To receive a replacement copy, an email must be sent to customerservice@aota.org to determine it is not an accessibility issue.
Refunds will not be issued after 14 days. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. This policy does not apply to bookstores. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-729-2682, or email customerservice@aota.org.
Bookstores Return Policy
Bookstores must first contact AOTA for permission to return: customerservice@aota.org. Please send the following information:
- Bookstore name/number, address, phone number, and contact email address
- Title(s) of product(s) to be returned
- Quantity of each title to be returned
- Original PO number and/or order number.
You will be emailed a Bookstore Return Merchandise Authorization form. This form MUST accompany the return package for credit to be issued.
A maximum of 25% of the original quantity ordered per title may be returned. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from all applicable refunds. Items must be returned in saleable condition. Returns will not be accepted after 120 days of the invoice date.
For cancelled classes, the bookstore may return the full order within 30 days of the invoice date.
