Bringing together experts from AOTA, SNFs, Rehabilitation Services, and more, this course series will provide you with the necessary information to navigate this important shift in practice!

Conference Learning Objectives:

After completing all sessions of the conference, the learner will be able to:

·         Describe the effect PDPM will have on the delivery of occupational therapy services in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs).

·         Understand that PDPM promotes a more holistic view of patients and their needs, rather than focusing only what happens in the therapy clinic.

·        Describe how practitioners can meet the PDPM outcomes through patient-driven, evidence-informed, occupation-based interventions in the context of reimbursement requirements.

·        Define PDPM quality outcomes and their relationship to OT practice and Medicare program requirements, and understand how to identify, measure, and report occupational therapy quality outcomes in this context.

·         Identify the tools needed for designing and delivering patient-driven, evidence-informed, occupation-based evaluations and interventions and make connections to outcomes.

·         Navigate SNF facility policies and advocate for the role of OT with administrators.
